Plan for the Phased Return to Krav Maga Training

As per the contact combat sport framework (full information here) after April 12th 2021 we are in Step 2 of the phased return to training, as follows. Please note that the information below is not exhaustive and is a summary, and you are encouraged to follow the link and ensure that you fully read and understand the framework yourself for your own safety and the safety of others.

ADULTS

  • Indoor training  – Phase 1 
  • Outdoor training  – Phase 1

CHILDREN

  • Indoor training – Phase 2
  • Outdoor training – Phase 2

Phase Descriptions

Phase 1 – Return to Equipment Training

  • You can train with others and not have to maintain a 2m social distance
  • This is only for the use of training with handheld and wearable equipment (such as padded work), and there should be no direct personal contact or contact with clothing.
  • Adults must wear facemasks when training with equipment if it does not hinder their ability to do so.
  • You must form a training bubble of no more than 6 people with whom to train and must stay in that bubble until the next phase.
  • For under 18’s the bubble size is increased to 15

Phase 2 – Return to Contact Training

  • You may resume contact training which includes direct physical contact between participants.
  • Adults must wear facemasks when training with equipment if it does not hinder their ability to do so.
  • You must form a training bubble of no more than 6 people with whom to train and must stay in that bubble until the next phase.
  • For under 18’s the bubble size is increased to 15

Prior to a Session

  • Follow government guidelines on self-isolation and stay away from training if you exhibit any signs of infection of COVID-19.
  • Scan the NHS track and trace code on arrival.
  • Ensure good personal hygiene before and after training and sanitise hands before and after training.
  • Arrive in washed and cleaned clothes and ensure shoes are worn at all times.
  • Travel to and from the session in training gear, changed and ready to train
  • Abide by social distancing guidelines travelling to and from Krav Maga. This includes public
    transport and car parks and wearing a face covering as per government guidelines.

On Arrival at the Session

  • Follow training centre signage and social distancing rules.
  • Limit the use of toilets, and not use changing rooms and shower facilities.
  • Expect to have your temperature checked and confirm that you are fit and well, not displaying COVID-19 symptoms and have not been in contact with anyone who has displayed symptoms.
  • Use hand sanitiser on arrival

Inside the training area

  • Sanitise your hands before entering the venue (sanitiser supplied by the club at the entrance).
  • Adhere to social distancing rules
  • Train Krav Maga according to the instructions given
  • Not continue training if they begin to feel unwell, and inform the instructor immediately

After the session has finished

  • Not go into the changing rooms.
  • Not gather, meet up with friends or socialise either inside or outside the venue or building.
  • Go out of the building straight away and make their way home without delay.
  • Stick to the Government guidelines when travelling home by public transport.
